Tooth extractions in Caldwell, ID

When a tooth can't be saved, or wisdom teeth are causing trouble, we remove it as gently as possible.

When a tooth needs to come out

  • A tooth too broken or decayed to repair
  • Wisdom teeth that are crowded, stuck or causing pain
  • Severe gum disease that has loosened a tooth
  • Making room before orthodontic treatment

What to expect

We numb the area well and keep you comfortable the whole time, with nitrous oxide available if you're nervous. You'll go home with clear aftercare instructions. Some complex wisdom teeth are best handled by an oral surgeon, and we'll refer you if that's the safer choice.

Replacing the tooth

If the tooth is visible when you smile or helps you chew, we'll talk about replacing it with an implant, a bridge or a partial denture.

Common questions.

Does a tooth extraction hurt?

The area is numbed first, so you should feel pressure but not pain. Some soreness afterward is normal and usually eases in a few days.

How long is recovery?

Most people feel back to normal in a few days. Avoid straws, smoking and hard foods while it heals.

Do you remove wisdom teeth?

Many wisdom teeth can be removed right here. If yours are deeply impacted, we'll refer you to a trusted oral surgeon.

Should I replace a pulled tooth?

Usually, yes. A gap can let other teeth shift. We'll go over your options.
